Finkenauer Statement on Labor Day

WASHINGTON, DC – Congresswoman Abby Finkenauer (IA-01) released the following statement on Labor Day:

"Labor Day is about honoring our hard-working families — the men and women who work their tails off every day to make their communities stronger and ensure their kids have even more opportunities than they do," Congresswoman Abby Finkenauer said.

"This year has shown us exactly what our hard-working men and women in the healthcare field and our essential workers mean to our communities,” Finkenauer said. “From those who have been on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic, to those who have quickly jumped to help after a derecho brought sudden devastation to our district. We see your hard work and sacrifice, and we’re eternally grateful." 

"On this Labor Day, I want to let every hard-working Iowa family know that I’m in your corner. I’m fighting for the opportunities that will help you not only find a good job at a good wage, but to live a good life, too,” Finkenauer said.
